next to the lunatic
directly behind glasses-red backpack-bad shoes
staring at the blond

the others are just there to develop this scene
my focus is pulled from them
my eyes are handed right to her
like a sacrifice i am willing to give

she is like a thin, frail, lovely flower
a daisy, i would say
but radiating confidence through her words
captivating a pair of idiots

the two she stands with enjoy her
enjoy the sight of that flower
laughing and smilling
moving in time with the air

they look away for a moment
and for that moment she is mine alone
when the pair avert their gaze,
the flower begins to wilt

the brilliance and pride float away
she glances nervously at her reflection
she wants to run
anxiety starts to pound through her chest

the moments ends
flower blossoming once more
no one knows what i have learned
i am the closest friend dear Flower will ever know
